More About Me

I received a graduate degree in 1998 from New York University and an undergraduate degree in 1993 from Brandeis University.  For many years I was employed as a Clinical Social Worker at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City.  During this time, I had the opportunity to work with a diverse population of individuals, couples and families.

The privilege of being present with others facing the most personal of crises was a daily lesson in humility. Those with whom I worked were teachers in refining my skills in a way that no professor, textbook or coursework could.  Above all else, I became grounded in our shared humanity.

Highlights of my post-graduate training include studies at Gestalt Associates For Psychotherapy in New York City and Columbia University's Narrative Medicine Program.  Additionally, I am a certified Cognitive-Behavior Therapy Cancer Clinician and a member of the National Association of Social Workers.
